Scissors with stainless-steel blades and cushioned grips. Weight: 4 oz.
Pros: Ambidextrous design; comfortable, cushioned grips; blades come apart for easy cleaning
Cons: "Herb stripper" is difficult to use on large herb stems
These kitchen-and-herb scissors are what I've come to expect from OXO. They are sturdy and are made from high-quality materials. The handle is comfortable, with cushioned grips. Blades are stainless steel and they separate easily for cleaning-a nice feature. In the garden, they cut herbs with ease. I deadheaded a miniature rose plant with no problem, as well. I could see these scissors being useful for small touch-up or pruning jobs in the railway garden before open days, since they are so well built.

This scissors have a built-in "herb stripper" located near the base of the blades. The stripper is intended to remove leaves from an herb stem, but I found it difficult to use on larger-sized stems. It did a great job on smaller stems, though. The scissors will come in handy in the garden for a number of functions. Recommended.
